Here we go again

Not even a month ago I razzed on my city for its response to winter weather.  It would appear that Frosty the Snowman had the last laugh.  The picture doesn’t do it justice but a solid sheet of ice covers our street.

Round five of winter weather hits the Mid-South

Round five of winter weather hits the Mid-South

The preemptive announcement of Adam’s fifth snow day came before 8pm tonight.  Lucky dude.  I can’t remember more than two consecutive snow days, maybe three total, from my entire school career.  And that’s a generous estimate.  My best recollection of a ‘holiday’ due to inclement weather involves studying for hours on end to bolster my academic performance junior year of Hutchison.  But I digress.

What better way to celebrate the snow than to roast marshmallows?

What better way to celebrate the snow than to roast marshmallows?

With every passing day my to-do list grows and grows and grows faster than I can conquer it.  Half a dozen posts linger in my queue in various stages of completion– everything from 50 Shades to Mommy shaming to the minutiae of my brain.  I make no guarantees but hopefully I’ll bridge the gap of what needs to be done in the blogosphere.

With infinite love, gratitude, and respect,

Sloane

About Cocktails With Hemingway

I'm blunt and opinionated. Virtually everything I say or do is a contradiction but I'm not a hypocrite. I never hesitate to speak my mind and never fail to leave an impression wherever I go. You love me, you hate me, but you'll never forget me.
