This is God

Ask ten Unitarian Universalists about God and you’ll receive ten different answers.  My church refuses to be limited by a singular explanation of such a staggering concept; instead, people are encouraged to explore their own personal ideas.  I struggle when it comes to defining any sort of Higher Power– it’s much easier for me to eliminate what God is NOT as I articulate the meaning of the word.

This breathtaking exchange embodies the very definition of God as I believe:

What I see here renders me speechless.  Tears stream down my face and chill bumps cover my arms.  I watch this again and again and the effect doesn’t diminish.  This is God.

With infinite love, gratitude, and respect,

Sloane

About Cocktails With Hemingway

I'm blunt and opinionated. Virtually everything I say or do is a contradiction but I'm not a hypocrite. I never hesitate to speak my mind and never fail to leave an impression wherever I go. You love me, you hate me, but you'll never forget me.
