100 days of school

Guess who celebrated the 100th day of school today?!  His class concocted a special trail mix and most of the day’s activities centered around the occasion.  I know he enjoyed a change of pace from the typical daily routine.  And I know he’ll enjoy summer most of all.  😉

His crown commemorates the 100 day mark.

His crown commemorates the milestone.

Festivities at home were decidedly more low key.  Adam enjoyed a chicken alfredo dinner courtesy of Kroger.  He watched James and the Giant Peach on Netflix and spent quality time with Tony Stark.  As a parent it thrills me to see him interacting with his pet– and also helping me with the responsibilities without complaint.

tsThe picture of our little guy peering out of his ‘hidey hole’ [as we affectionately refer to his private space] makes me smile every time I see it.  Señor Stark– like every other pet I’ve owned– comes equipped with a distinct personality.  What I wouldn’t give to know what goes through his reptilian brain….

Bonus points for the fact that my half birthday is today as well.

With infinite love, gratitude, and respect,

Sloane

About Cocktails With Hemingway

I'm blunt and opinionated. Virtually everything I say or do is a contradiction but I'm not a hypocrite. I never hesitate to speak my mind and never fail to leave an impression wherever I go. You love me, you hate me, but you'll never forget me.
