My kiddos + Theresa & Kinsey + McLoskey family = FUN! The kids enjoyed an afternoon at the movies seeing Nut Job. Adam jumps at any chance to hang out with his lifelong friends so he had a blast. Nobody knew what to expect with Tatum, considering this was her first movie, but she handled it like a champ. She even entertained fellow theatergoers in the lobby with her dance moves.
Not even 24 hours later Adam attended a classmate’s birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese. What can I say? His dance card stays full. With Bapa in tow we waltzed into the Mouse House. I gave him the rundown on behavior: Use your manners, tell A happy birthday, thank her parents for having you, be patient, take turns, keep your hands to yourself, and whatever you do– remember that is is not your birthday so those are not your presents. Thankfully he listened and made mama proud. Once again he pleaded with me to take a second job at Chuck E. Cheese. I’ll pass, Adam.
Several people have asked about the color of Tatum’s hair. My daughter rocks the dirty blonde hue [several shades lighter than her brother] most of the time– exposure to sunlight lightens it quickly– and is not a redhead as some photos would suggest. Interestingly enough my hair gave the same illusion as a child. Like mother, like daughter. =)
Maris captured Tatum doing the splits on camera. I know toddlers posses cartilage and flexibility adults can only dream of– but where did she learn to do that?! Clearly she’s been practicing. Never one to be outdone, Adam made his own video response. Sister wins the split contest.
With infinite love, gratitude, and respect,
