Mark Twain Goth Girl

Andre deserves the blog treatment and then some.  It’s an honor to be able to call him a friend.  Such a great person– compassionate, loyal, generous, reliable, smart– and topping it off with a wicked sense of humor.  A chance encounter enabled us to cross paths one night and we’ve been friends ever since.  Riding shotgun in the Andremobile guarantees an entertaining experience filled with good conversation.  He’s one of only several friends with whom I communicate daily.  His thought provoking texts demonstrate his wisdom.  I’m always interested in hearing what’s on his mind.  That and he’s got some fantastic stories.

Not every Mark Twain Goth Girl [what a brilliant nickname] gets a home delivery of pinot noir after a rough day.  Thank you, Dionysus.  Soon we will go to Popeye’s.  Or Restaurant Iris.  Maybe even a late night trip to one after spending significant time at the other.  😉

Real talk….Andre and I get along because he’s real.  Not nearly enough people possess that realistic quality and it’s always refreshing when I meet someone who does.  We keep it real with each other and tell it like it is.  I appreciate all that he’s done for me– listening to what’s going on in my head, texts to see how I’m doing, playing chauffeur when I needed a ride, giving advice and encouragement– and cannot wait for Z to meet him.

With infinite love, gratitude, and respect,

About Cocktails With Hemingway

I'm blunt and opinionated. Virtually everything I say or do is a contradiction but I'm not a hypocrite. I never hesitate to speak my mind and never fail to leave an impression wherever I go. You love me, you hate me, but you'll never forget me.
