Girls night out

Last Wednesday night I met up with Aunt Sarah and Sharon at Salsa for appetizers and drinks after work.  Among many other things we discussed ‘the situation’ in California, disco dancing in Shelbyville, kids & grandkids, and Z.  Aunt Sarah and I headed back to the casa with full bellies and plans to do a photo shoot with all the young cousins.  Let’s do this again soon, ladies!

lOur talk really inspired me to get writing.  What I need to set aside a block of time each day where I am completely free of distractions to just write, even if there isn’t any method to my madness.  Countless projects float around in my mind constantly– book ideas, short story collections, articles for various magazines, collaborating with others, freelancing for local publications– and of course this blog.  If only I could focus long enough to get started….ADD be damned.  I must do this and the time is NOW.

With infinite love, gratitude, and respect,

Sloane

About Cocktails With Hemingway

I'm blunt and opinionated. Virtually everything I say or do is a contradiction but I'm not a hypocrite. I never hesitate to speak my mind and never fail to leave an impression wherever I go. You love me, you hate me, but you'll never forget me.

It WAS fun. As tired as we all were! Photo shoot must happen before cold weather!
