Take me out to the ball game

Endless thanks to Jeff for sharing his company’s box with us for the Redbirds game.  Last time I flew solo but this time I invited the men in my life– and it was Adam’s first baseball game.  I couldn’t tell you who we played [or who won] but we all had a blast.  Bonus points for the fact that it was Superhero Day at Auto Zone Park so Adam got some face time with Darth Vader.

En route to the game. That is a look of pure joy. My boy is so glad to be spending time with Mommy.

Adam brandishes pounds of sugar. 20 minutes later, Mommy deeply regrets her concession choices, as does everyone else in our box. ;)

Hyped up on saccharine goodness, Adam learns the hard way why you don't attempt to stand in stadium seat.

I cherish moments like these.

I cherish moments like these. So much so that I’ll forgive his expression.

My son waltzed right up to Darth Vader and asked when he was going back to space, heh.

My son waltzed right up to Darth Vader, gave him a high five, and asked when he was going back to space, heh.

Let me remind you that these were the MEMPHIS Redbirds, in my hometown and our current residence of MEMPHIS, TENNESSEE.  How nice it is to say with pride that this is one of our LOCAL teams.  We’re HOME!

With infinite love, gratitude, and respect,

Sloane

About Cocktails With Hemingway

I'm blunt and opinionated. Virtually everything I say or do is a contradiction but I'm not a hypocrite. I never hesitate to speak my mind and never fail to leave an impression wherever I go. You love me, you hate me, but you'll never forget me.
