Week 33's imagery

Baby: Your baby measures about 19.4 inches from head to toe and weighs about 4.4 pounds. The next few weeks will mark lots of growth in the baby. The fetus will gain more than half its birth weight in the next seven weeks. Baby begins to move less now [surely you jest!] as it runs out of room [she’ll make room] and curls up with knees bent, chin resting on chest and arms and legs crossed.

Mom-to-be: The uterus is about 5.2 inches above your navel, and you’ve gained between 22 and 28 pounds [probably closer to ten but as big as my belly is I’m no longer worried about my weight]. Of the pound a week you’re gaining now, roughly half is going to your baby.

Tip of the Week: It’s medically safe to continue having sex with your partner [because that’s totally at the forefront of my agenda right now], but you may be too uncomfortable. Talk with your spouse about other ways to remain intimate, including backrubs and foot massages [so maybe it’s not ‘intimate’ but I’m about to the point where I’ll pay somebody at one of these Chinese foot spas to help a girl out].

With infinite love, gratitude, and respect,

Sloane

About Cocktails With Hemingway

I'm blunt and opinionated. Virtually everything I say or do is a contradiction but I'm not a hypocrite. I never hesitate to speak my mind and never fail to leave an impression wherever I go. You love me, you hate me, but you'll never forget me.
