Week 31's imagery

It’s been quite a few weeks since I last shared a pregnancy progress update.  That’s a real BABY in there!  No more odd looking alien with an oversized head but an actual tiny human.  I can’t wait to meet my precious little girl.   ❤

Baby: Your baby measures about 18 inches long from head to toe and weighs about 3.5 pounds. Rather than hearing vibrations, baby’s nerve endings in his ears are connected now so that he can hear distinct sounds, like familiar voices and music.

Mom-to-be: Your uterus now fills a large part of your abdomen [[it definitely looks like there’s a basketball in there]], and you’ve probably gained between 21 and 27 pounds [[I haven’t gained any weight.  In fact, I lost 5lbs the last time I was weighed.  Hopefully I’ve at least ‘broke even’ now that Tatum’s getting bigger and I’m never far from my Ensure]]. You’re probably feeling increasing excitement and anxiousness about the birth — it won’t be long now.

Tip for the Week: Practice your breathing and relaxation exercises.  [[Excuse me, what?  Relaxation?  I’ve never heard of that word.  Can somebody define it for me?]]

With infinite love, gratitude, and respect,

Sloane

About Cocktails With Hemingway

I'm blunt and opinionated. Virtually everything I say or do is a contradiction but I'm not a hypocrite. I never hesitate to speak my mind and never fail to leave an impression wherever I go. You love me, you hate me, but you'll never forget me.
