Constantly vacillating between the security of my privatized blog versus the incessant word vomit open to the public, the happy medium evades me.
**SIX MONTHS** ago today I received the most devastating phone call of my life– informing me that my precious Adam had been removed from my custody due to suspicions of abuse and neglect. Since that fateful day we have seen each other no more than 2 hours a week for our supervised visit. His baby sister was born in another state and he has yet to meet her. He is staying with his aunt whom he adores– and I truly appreciate all she has done for him and know she loves him like one of her own– yet that means he’s not living with Mommy where he belongs. Nor is he in Tennessee cuddling with his sister and surrounded by all the people he’s grown up with that love him so. People are fighting for you, Adam. My heart breaks for all the trauma and confusion you’ve endured as a result of being separated from your parents.
With infinite love, gratitude, and respect,
Sloane
